We would like to thank all the sponsors, parents, learners, educators and friends who contributed to this successful Golf Day! A special thanks to Little Walmer Golf Club for hosting this day for us!
We hosted a "Cinderella" play on Valentine's Day.
On 16 January 2020 we had the privilege to have Premier Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane at Westview for a visit! We would like to thank him for his sincere interest in our school. Our principal, PC van Rooyen showed him around on our school premises. He was very impressed with our learners’ hard work!
We had our business function on 12 November 2019 at Westview School. We had a lovely evening by showing off all the different projects that were made by our learners. Our guests enjoyed a delicious three coarse meal and brewed coffee. This was organized by our teachers to show appreciation to all the companies that contributed to Westview School in furthering our learners’ knowledge.
Westview had their annual prize giving on Wednesday night, 30 October 2019. Congratulations to all our learners who received prizes. You make us proud. We would like to wish Mrs Welinda van der Merwe (isiXhosa teacher) and Mike Evans (Spray painting teacher) who will be retiring at the end of November well. Thank you for Mr Andile Nogaga (DCES) that was representing the Department of Education last night to support Westview on this special occasion.
Congratulations to Mrs Janola Harris who took part in the National Teaching Awards 2019 in the Nelson Mandela Bay District. She was runner up for Excellence in Special Needs Teaching. We are so proud of her.
